*About the Position*
Lighthouse Christian Academy is seeking a passionate, mission-driven Spanish teacher to lead our middle and high school students in developing linguistic fluency, cultural understanding, and a love for learning. This educator will play a key role in supporting our Indiana Academic Honors Diploma track, strengthening our world languages program, and forming students who communicate with excellence and integrity—both in Spanish and in life.
*Primary Responsibilities*
-Teach middle and high school Spanish courses (Spanish 7th Grade, 8th Grade, I, II, III, and potentially IV/AP depending on strengths and enrollment).
-Develop engaging, rigorous lessons aligned with Indiana Academic Standards and LCA’s academic philosophy.
-Foster a classroom culture that reflects Christlike character, curiosity, and belonging.
-Inspire students to practice real-world communication through speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
-Assess student learning using formative and summative assessments; provide timely, clear feedback.
-Partner with colleagues to support schoolwide initiatives, assemblies, events, and student discipleship.
-Collaborate with the Secondary Principal on curriculum development, pacing, and course sequencing.
-Communicate consistently and professionally with students, parents, and staff.
-Model biblical worldview integration in teaching, conversations, and classroom culture.
-Participate in required PD, staff devotions, chapel days, and school duties.

Requirements
-A personal, vibrant, and maturing relationship with Jesus Christ.
-Active participation in the life of a local, Bible believing church
-Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, World Languages, Education, or a related field (required).
-Valid Indiana Teaching License or ability to obtain one (preferred).
-Prior teaching or relevant experience; student teaching accepted.
-Strong communication and classroom-management skills.
-Ability to motivate, instruct, and care for students with patience and integrity.
-Commitment to ongoing professional development and instructional excellence.
-Must complete required background checks and child-protection training.
-Active participation in the life of a local, Bible believing church
-Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, World Languages, Education, or a related field (required).
-Valid Indiana Teaching License or ability to obtain one (preferred).
