Lunch and Recess Assistant (Part-Time)

The Kitchen Aide & Recess Assistant plays a support role in two key areas of school life: assisting with food preparation and cleanup in the kitchen, and supervising students during recess. This individual helps create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment in both the cafeteria and on the playground, while reflecting the values and mission of Lighthouse Christian Academy.

Kitchen Duties (Morning – Midday):
-Support the Kitchen Coordinator with food prep and serving
-Assist with dishwashing and cleanup
-Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and cafeteria spaces
-Restock items and organize kitchen supplies
-Follow all health and food safety guidelines

Recess Duties (Midday):
-Supervise students during outdoor and indoor recess
-Promote safe, respectful play and positive student interactions
-Address minor behavioral issues appropriately and report concerns as needed
-Monitor playground and equipment for safety
