Head Coach - Girls Volleyball (Varsity)

The Varsity Girls Volleyball Coach is responsible for leading and developing the high school girls volleyball program at Lighthouse Christian Academy in a manner consistent with the school’s mission and values. This includes overseeing all aspects of team practices, game preparation, player development, spiritual leadership, and communication with families and administration. The coach must model Christ-like behavior and foster a culture of teamwork, discipline, and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead practices that develop players’ skills, conditioning, and understanding of the game

-Create game strategies and manage in-game decisions

-Cultivate spiritual growth in student-athletes through prayer, devotionals, and mentorship

-Communicate effectively with players, parents, and the athletic department

-Ensure compliance with school, conference, and IHSAA regulations

-Coordinate scheduling, transportation, and equipment with the AD

-Recruit and develop assistant coaches if applicable

- Prior volleyball coaching experience (high school or higher preferred)

-Strong knowledge of volleyball fundamentals and strategy preferred

-Committed Christian and active member of a Bible-believing church

-Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

-Ability to disciple and mentor teenage girls in a Christ-centered environment
