Head Coach - Boys Basketball (Middle School)

The Head Middle School Boys Basketball Coach is responsible for leading the development of the middle school boys basketball program in alignment with the mission of Lighthouse Christian Academy. This role focuses on teaching fundamental basketball skills, promoting teamwork, and cultivating Christlike character in student-athletes. The coach should create a positive, disciplined, and spiritually grounded team culture that prepares players for future success on and off the court.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and run practices that emphasize basketball fundamentals, teamwork, and effort

Coach all games, focusing on development and participation

Lead team devotionals and model Christ-centered leadership

Build relationships with players and families that reflect humility, integrity, and care

Communicate effectively with parents, players, and the athletic department

Coordinate game schedules, uniforms, transportation, and other logistics with the AD

Provide leadership to any assistant coaches and collaborate well with them

Committed Christian and active participant in the life of a Bible-believing church

Basketball coaching or playing experience (middle school or youth level preferred)

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Passion for discipling middle school boys and building character through athletics

Ability to create a structured, encouraging, and competitive team environment
