Description
The Head High School Cheerleading Coach is responsible for leading and growing a Christ-centered cheer program that supports LCA athletics, fosters school spirit, and develops the character and skills of student-athletes. The coach will oversee practices, coordinate performances, and disciple young women to reflect excellence, joy, and Christlike leadership on and off the sidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and lead practices that focus on cheer fundamentals, routines, and team unity

Coordinate cheers, chants, and performances for games, pep rallies, and school events

Promote spiritual growth through devotionals, prayer, and mentorship

Uphold and model LCA’s mission, values, and expectations for student conduct

Maintain safety standards and teach proper techniques for stunting and tumbling (as applicable)

Communicate clearly with students, parents, and the athletic department

Manage team logistics, uniforms, and event schedules in coordination with the AD
Requirements
Committed Christian and active participant in the life of a Bible-believing church

Cheerleading coaching or performance experience (high school or college preferred)

Positive, energetic, and able to lead high school girls with grace and discipline

Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills

Passion for using cheer as a platform for discipleship and school encouragement
