Assistant Coach - Boys Basketball (Middle School)

The Assistant Middle School Boys Basketball Coach supports the head coach in developing fundamental basketball skills and building a Christ-centered team culture. This role includes assisting with practices, supporting game-day coaching, and encouraging student-athletes in their personal, athletic, and spiritual growth in alignment with the mission of Lighthouse Christian Academy.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with running practices focused on skill development, teamwork, and effort

Support the head coach with game-day preparation, warm-ups, and in-game coaching

Build relationships with players and promote Christlike sportsmanship and discipline

Help create a positive, structured, and engaging environment for middle school boys

Assist with team logistics, communication, and equipment management as needed

Committed Christian and active participant in the life of a Bible-believing church

Basketball playing or coaching experience (middle school or youth preferred)

Supportive, dependable, and able to connect with middle school students

Willing to follow the lead of the head coach and contribute to the mission of LCA Athletics

Passion for using sports as a tool for discipleship and personal growth
